When I learnt to drive the highway code clearly stated that when two people travelling in opposite directions both want to turn right at a cross roads , the turn behind each other , ( unless road markings told them otherwise ) . The law hasn't been changed, there never has been a law dictating this. It is a recommendation, not a rule. You should live where I live mate - in Peterborough - it is even worse here......never seen such a mess and complete contradiction of Highway Code guidelines. It's always been the case that both ways were OK, but where the junction layout permitted, turning offside to offside is seen as the preferable way as it gives both drivers a clearer view of oncoming traffic. Learning to remove your own fog lights is essential if you wish to replace the fog light bulbs or the plastic fog light encasement on your car's exterior.

Step by Step :

Turn off your BMW 3281. Locate the car's battery, located in the battery compartment in the passenger side of the trunk.

Disconnect the battery by using a flathead screwdriver to unscrew the black cable connected to the battery.

Move to the front bumper area of your BMW 328I. Locate the plastic fog light covers on the bottom right and left corners of your bumper, underneath the headlights.

Insert your flathead screwdriver between the crevice of the plastic fog light cover and the bumper. Push the fog light cover out and toward you. Place it aside.

Turn the fog light bulb counterclockwise to remove it from the bulb socket.

Repeat Steps 3 through 5 to remove the fog light on the opposite side of your vehicle.
Tips & Warnings
Do not touch the glass part of the fog light bulb if you are planning to reinstall it. Touching the glass may damage the bulb.

Even if the original bulb is manufactured by a different manufacturer, AC Delco likely makes a bulb to replace it. Not all vehicles have fog lamps. Problems with the lamps can be related to correct use and faults. These kinds of issues can be corrected by following some troubleshooting steps.

Turn the ignition on if the fog lights won't come on. Turn the headlamp bright beams off if the Delco fog lights don't appear to be illuminating the road surface properly. High beams will just reflect off the fog, or snow, and produce glare. If possible, turn off low-beams too. Many countries won't allow this though, and make auto manufacturers wire the lights so you have to have the headlamps on.

Drive slowly if you still have problems seeing the road surface. Turn the fog lamps off if the road surface produces glare. If there's no fog or snow, turn off the fog lamps because they can produce glare on wet road surfaces.

Change the fog lamp's AC Delco bulb if one fog lamp in the pair fails to illuminate. Change the fuse if both fail to illuminate. Remove the rubber boot from the back of the light if there is one, unclip the bulb and replace it. Change any fuses with fuses of the same color and amperage. Fuse boxes can be found in the engine compartment, passenger area and trunk. They are labeled with an index that will allow you to identify the correct fuse.
